CONTEST: LOL My Cat!

So, I figured out something that will cheer me up: having another contest! I am combining my love of photography and of lolcats, and unveiling the

LOL My Cat Contest!

Are you as excited as I am? I DON'T THINK YOU ARE! To be brief, I will be providing six pictures that I took of my cat, Peppermint, on a day when she looked particularly hilarious. If those pictures aren't enough, hopefully someone will comment. Anyway, I'm looking for some good lolcat pictures, ten probably, submitted by my readers. If you have Photoshop, that's super, but you can also use the Cheezburger network Lolcat Builder. All in all, I want you guys to have fun with this, and once we have enough, we'll vote on whichever one is the most epic. I will come up with a prize. Maybe a stuffed cat? I can't give you my cat, though. That's just silly.

Q is for naked Asian vegetarian! : And other letters of the alphabet...

From what I've noticed, I haven't done a list in at least a week. And I'm very bored, and not especially tired, so I'm going to sit here and try to think of a good list to give you fine people. Oh, and I might play Restaurant City.
...
Six minutes later

I have it! Oh this is going to be fun. I'm going to run an image search for every letter of the alphabet. I will put up the first picture that comes up for each letter, no matter what it is. I say no matter what because my Safe Search is off, so Lord knows what will pop up. Ok, here we go.

Everybody Was Kung-Fu Fighting

Spock and I went on a date today, an actual date. He took me to see Ninja Assassin, which was much better than I thought it would be. For example, it actually had a plot, instead of ninjas just mindlessly appearing and kicking the shit out of people. They did some major damage, but the movie explained why. And I'm not going to tell you, because you have to go see it yourself. The main protagonist, Raizo, is played by a Korean actor named Rain. He's a pop star in real life, and has a very unique and unforgettable face. In other words, a total babe. So, check out this video of one of his songs, Nappun Namja. As you can see, Michael Jackson is a big influence.

He sure cleans up well
So, fittingly, we will have Seven Sweet Little Ninjas!!!!

Ha Ha, You're Old

My dad's birthday was today. I think he had a pretty good time. Spock and I got him a Spongebob cake, and when we got home, we found out that my uncle showed up as well. This is the uncle whose wife recently died; see Mending Fences. I think he gets lonely living out in the middle of nowhere, especially now that he's living alone. We're glad to have him for as long as he needs to stay; I know that for certain. So, back to my dad. After dinner, and Spongebob cake, and presents, Spock goes up to my dad and wishes him a happy birthday, and gives him a hug. And my dad had the biggest grin on his face. It makes me so happy to know that they can get along; my dad has a lot of trouble dealing with the fact that I'm old enough to be in a relationship that could actually last. He and Spock definitely get along well, possibly because he's not a troublemaker, like many of my past boyfriends have turned out to have been.

So.... Dad turned forty-three today, but that would make for a rather long list. Instead, I'll divide 43 by 3, which is today's date, as well as a convenient number, and so we get...
Fourteen and One-Third Old, Smartass Lolcats!
How I'll pull off one-third is beyond me

Requiem for a Dealership

Maybe it's appropriate that Spock and I saw a funeral procession on the way home from school. This morning, we got one of those unpleasant phone calls in which we were told that my aunt died, apparently of a drug overdose. She was thirty-five. Shortly after, my dad and I left to go to an auction at the car dealership he worked at. We equated it to a funeral; many of the people who worked there gathered in small huddles. We stayed until nearly the end, mostly to see how much the hoists and other larger items would go for. It was strange to walk through a building I had spent so many weekend at, enduring my dad's complete lack of patience and understand, and then his complete compassion and loving paternity. A strange feeling indeed.
